Angelina opened in Dalston in February 2019 under childhood friends Joshua Owens-Baigler (Bocca di Lupo, River Café) and Amar Takhar (JKS Group), who used their experiences travelling in Japan and Italy as inspiration for their venture.
Angelina’s menu unites the techniques and flavours of Italian and Japanese cuisines to create unique yet crowd-pleasing omakase and kaiseki tasting menus, as well as brunch, served in a warm, unfussy setting. Owens-Baigler and Takhar are passionate about sourcing the finest ingredients to create simple, thought-out dishes using flavour combinations that challenge and excite Angelina’s guests.
