We caught up with Andrew Wong, head chef at Kym’s…check out what he told us!
What is your favourite dish on your own menu and why?
It’s a toss up between the Soy Chicken and the Cantonese Crispy Pork Belly. These dishes are so rich in cultural heritage and are
very important to Chinese cuisine.
What is your desert island dish?
Something with egg in it!
What is your favourite seasonal dish?
Stir fried asparagus with dried shrimp and pine nuts
What drink would you pair with it?
What is your favourite restaurant in London and why?
It depends on the occasion. I like Lahore Kebab House in Aldgate East. Maxim in Ealing for great Chinese food. Reindeer Cafe is another one of my favourites. And of course Black Axe Mangal you can’t beat!
What is your favourite thing about Taste?
Everyone coming together to celebrate and support our amazing restaurant industry in London.
