Taste isn’t just about cavorting around feasting on everything our eyes behold (though that’s definitely a large part of it), it’s also a great place to kick back and relax in the sunshine, going at a holiday pace. For all of you who’d rather channel the turtle than the hair, here’s our guide to Tastin’ and chillin’….

1. Ease into the day with a glass of La Cuvée at the Diners Club VIP Lounge

For the ultimate chill zone within the festival, look no further than the Diners Club VIP Lounge. Decked out in comfy hammocks under the dappled sunshine, and with table service from our lovely Taste crew, this is the ultimate spot to relax and soak up the vibes. Follow up your complimentary glass of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée with a masterclass from an artisan producer, or sample the treats of the pop-up producers before rejoining the rest of the festival.

2. Score a festival classic at Sartoria

Is there anything more iconically Taste than watching Francesco Mazzei swirl summer truffle into a hollowed-out parmesan wheel brimming with fettuccine cacio e pepe? We challenge you not. Swing by for some pure satisfaction, chased with a marsala tiramisu for the journey (when in Rome and all that).

3. Meander through the craft beer alleys

Time to discover your new brewery beau. Meander through the craft beer alleys sipping IPAs and refreshing sours from the likes of Gorgeous Brewery, Stone & Wood, and for a sip of somewhere a little further flung, Eico Beer of Iceland. Ice cold perfection.

4. Feast on Felix’s Kitchen massaman curry

Delicious food tastes even better when it’s also going towards a good cause. And The Felix Project x Dinner Ladies sure is both of those. Plump for their lockdown massaman veg curry whilst you marvel at their incredible work fighting hunger and food waste in London by rescuing surplus food and delivering to those most in need.

5. Channel sunshine at Crodino

Pair your restaurant spoils with a sip of the Italian sunset at Crodino. Drop by their bar at the festival to sample their classic non-alcoholic aperitivo, rich in aromatics and bittersweet notes reminiscent of their older sibling Campari. Just add sunshine.

6. Swing on down to the Daily Special presented by Just Eat

For the last stop on your low key, maximum deliciousness tour of the festival, look no further than the swing seats at the Daily Special presented by Just Eat. Nab a table or drop into a hammock whilst you tuck into dishes from the daily changing restaurants. Got one last wind of energy in you? A ping pong challenge it is.
