This summer at Taste of London, we did something incredible. To kick off our partnership with The Felix Project, we joined forces during the festival for a record-breaking cook-off, with 6,000 meals donated to those in need over an epic 10-day cook-along period.
Each evening after the festival closed, a team of Taste volunteers and chefs including Daniel Britten and Simon “The Butch” Taylor got to work, cooking up dishes overnight with ingredients donated by us. Then, after all the prepping, roasting and resting (us and the meat), we distributed the dishes across the city to charities and schools feeding those in poverty, helping The Felix Project hit their target of donating 38 million meals to Londoners facing hunger in the wake of Coronavirus.
As well as all this awesomeness, The Felix Project also teamed up with the Dinners Ladies at the festival, and served up an array of next level dishes, with all proceeds donated to charity. Check out the menus here.
