Christian Stevenson is a man of many talents.
Over a 20 year career as a broadcaster, Christian is probably best known and respected as the presenter of his Channel 5 television series ‘RAD’ and ‘RAD The Groms Tour’ which ran for 10 years and won him and the channel their first BAFTA in the Best Entertainment category. Previously, he has also fronted Freesports on 4 (Channel 4), Chilli factor (Extreme Channel), and Legends of the Extreme (Extreme Channel) as well as hosting radio shows on both XFM and Kerrang!
Cooking was always an intrinsic part of Christian’s life, but 5 years ago he decided to make it his focus and DJBBQ was born. Christian grew up on the Mason-Dixie line and was influenced by the cultures and food of both North and South. While the food always takes centre stage, the DJBBQ experience encompasses food, fun and a list for life at its core, or as Christian likes to call it, Catertainment.
In the past five years, DJBBQ has become the second most popular BBQ cook on YouTube and across social media. His DJBBQ cookbook, released in 2014 sold over 70,000 copies and still resides in the Amazon top 10 BBQ books. He was signed up to Jamie Oliver’s Foodtube channel which now boasts 2.7 million subscribers. He has also appeared regularly on This Morning and was invited onto Jamie Oliver’s Channel 4 show to help create the ultimate burger recipe.
