A premises just off Brick Lane - a fitting location for David Carter's first permanent restaurant venture, spread over two floors.

The ground floor restaurant seats 75, wrapped around the large open kitchen. Space for a further 45 is available on the outdoor terrace, while the cellar-like basement bar holds a snug 15 for walk ins.

The menu is a grown-up version of what essentially put SMOKESTAK on the London street food map, giving a nod to the classics along with a more-rounded approach than just the typical “B-B-Q' fayre.

Using the wood- burning smoker in a very literal sense, David plays with wood, fire and smoke in equal measure to create something a bit different, taking SMOKESTAK to another level.

SMOKESTAK will be cooking a Taste Exclusive dish at our Fire Pit on Friday. Don't miss their Smoked ox cheek, with aged beef-fat sourdough and egg yolk, available from 14:00 to 15:30.
