Rainbo was founded in 2012 by husband and wife Ben and Xochi, with nothing more than a food truck and a dream to to do what they love. They’ve been slinging out homemade gyoza from The Old Lady at London markets and at the UK’s biggest music and foodie festivals ever since!

In 2016, having become disenchanted with life as a financial adviser and determined to follow his passion, James ditched corporate City life and took over at the healm. The goal was to grow Rainbo from a single food truck to London’s favourite Japanese street food business. Today they have three permanent sites at Boxpark Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market and Canary Wharf alongside their beloved food truck, The Old Lady.
