Cocktail recipe: Winter’s Night

Ingredients

  • 50ml Glengoyne 10 yr old
  • 20ml Xante Pear Cognac
  • 40ml Pear puree
  • 20ml Lemon juice
  • Dash of spice mix (cinnamon, clove and nutmeg)
  • Sliced pear to garnish

This cocktail recipe emphasizes the delicate pear esters from the distillation and the rich spice character gained from Glengoyne’s use of Spanish oak sherry casks.  Bringing together these two aspects of sweet and spice, this cocktail is definitely one for a cold winter’s night!

1. Add all the ingredients to a Boston shaker and shake vigourously

2. Fill a rocks glass with ice

3. Strain the cocktail into the glass and garnish with pear slices before serving.
