For 400ml of sugar snap shrub:

  • 250g sugar snap peas
  • 240ml apple cyder vinegar
  • 340g white sugar
For the cocktail:
  • 50ml Seedlip Garden
  • 20ml sugar snap shrub
  • Soda
  • Carrots, for garnish

Seedlip are the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits, solving the dilemma of ‘what to drink when you’re not drinking’. Inspired by traditional recipes of distilled non-alcoholic herbal remedies that are reworked with a modern twist, Seedlip are proving non-alcoholic cocktails can taste just as great as their boozy brethren. ‘Mr McGregor’ is named after Beatrix Potter’s famous gardener, and features a sugar snap shrub which can be pre-batched in advance and whipped out whenever desire takes you.

1. First, make the sugar snap shrub the night before. Finely slice the sugar snap peas and their pods, add all the ingredients into a jar and muddle. Leave to infuse overnight and strain the following day.

2. To build the cocktail, add 50ml of Seedlip Garden to a highball filled with ice. Add 20ml of sugar snap shrub, top with soda and stir. Garnish with a slither of carrot and garnish.
