Difficulty: Easy

  • 60ml Langley's No.8 gin

The Bramble cocktail is a modern classic, invented by the late, great bartender Dick Bradsall in 1980’s Soho. It’s fresh, fruity flavour and long presentation style made it an instant hit and is now a stable inclusion in cocktail menus across the world. This version of the recipe by Langley’s Gin uses exclusively British ingredients for a classic interpretation.

1. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a Boston cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously to combine.

2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. If you don’t have crushed ice to hand, wrap ice cubes in a tea towel and crush with a rolling pin.

3. Drizzle the British cassis over the top of the cocktail and garnish with a lemon slice.
