Pic’s Peanut Butter

The best peanut butter straight from New Zealand!

Pic’s Peanut Butter hails from Nelson, New Zealand where it is the No.1 peanut butter and a household name. Pic’s was born out of a love for natural peanut butter — founder Pic Picot, was frustrated with the lack of sugar-free peanut butters on the shelves and decided to make his own, remembering the way his mother and auntie used to make real peanut butter from scratch.

In true Kiwi style, he wheeled out the concrete mixer and made up Pic’s very first batch of peanut butter in his garage. Fast-forward ten years and Pic’s is not only the number one peanut butter in New Zealand, but its celebrating its third year in the UK having started out at Maltby Street Market in Bermondsey and then hitting the shelves at Tesco a year ago.

Pic’s is made from freshly roasted 100% Hi-Oleic Australian peanuts and nothing else; no artificial additives, emulsifiers, preservatives, oils or added sugar, only a light pinch of sea salt in the salted varieties.

Why Hi-Oleic peanuts? The Hi-Oleic peanut is a super food legume that contains a range of nutritious vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and is beneficial for heart health. According to leading nutritionist, Emily Hope (BSc, MSc Human Nutrition), Hi-Oleic peanuts are naturally bred peanuts that contain a fatty acid profile similar to olive oil and avocados. Oleic acid is a well-known monounsaturated fatty acid that offers a number of health benefits.

These superior peanuts give Pic’s 25% more good fats than non hi-oleic peanut butter. Combine this with 26% pure protein, and its swagger of awards including Olive Magazine’s No 1. Artisan Peanut Butter, Great Taste Awards and Men’s Fitness Food Awards, Best PB 2016 – its no surprise that healthy nuts are stuffing their shopping bags full of the good stuff. Pic\’s prides itself being on being all natural, vegan, and free of gluten, dairy and sugar, nothing but 100% high-oleic peanuts with a pinch of salt. Come to our stall and try for yourself!
