Hush Heath is a 400-acre family owned Tudor estate in the heart of Kent, with vast ancient oak woodlands, vineyards, Kentish apple orchards and wildflower meadows. Hush Heath is dedicated to producing the country’s finest still and sparkling wines and ciders under the Balfour and Jake’s brands.
Hush Heath’s vineyards of Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier were planted in 2002, and since then they have won numerous awards and accolades for their still and sparkling wines and ciders including Gold Medals at the International Wine and Spirit Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards for their flagship sparkling wine; Balfour Brut Rose.
Hush Heath Estate also includes three boutique hotel/restaurants, one in London and two in Kent (The Tickled Trout, The Goudhurst Inn, and The Bull and The Hide), and one events venue/restaurant in London (St Bart\’s Brewery). Each of these businesses offer fabulous, simple English fayre prepared to perfection and, of course, the full selection of Hush Heath Estate wines and ciders by the glass.
Hush Heath’s flagship wine, Balfour Brut Rose, a pink sparkling wine, is recognised as one of England’s finest Champagne-method wines. It has won a number of awards and accolades including multiple gold medals at international awards and listings on BA First Class and The Orient Express.
Another notable product from Hush Heath Manor is their Pinot Noir: a still pinot noir which has just won a silver medal in The Drinks Business Global Pinot Noir Masters. They will also be revealing two new products whilst at Taste of London, two English apple sparkling wines which are made from estate-grown Kentish apples at the state-of-the-art winery at Hush Heath. These are Champagne method ciders, natural and strawberry flavours, that are styled similarly to Prosecco and provide all of the crisp, fruity, elegant flavours you would expect in Hush Heath wines at a fraction of the price.
