Selin Kiazim
Selin Kiazim, Chef-Director of Oklava and Kyseri

Selin’s food has its roots in the Turkish-Cypriot tradition in which she grew up, but it takes inspiration evenly from her grandmother’s cooking in her outdoor kitchen in Cyprus, her classical culinary training at Westminster Kingsway, her work with the godfather of fusion Peter Gordon, and her time (well-spent) traveling and eating.

She cooks culturally sensitive food which is a nod to the Turkish culinary heritage and the world alike.

In 2017, Selin published her first cookbook, entitled Oklava. She is one of four winning chefs on BBC’s Great British Menu 2017, cooking the dessert course at the final banquet.
