Sean Marsh, Head Chef at Bar Douro

At the helm of Bar Douro's kitchen is Head Chef Sean Marsh. An honourable member of Bar Douro's family, Sean moved to Europe from the U.S. in 2011, spending two years working in San Sebastian, including at two Michelin starred restaurant Mugaritz.

Considering Portugal his second home, Sean's love of Portuguese cuisine began with a series of pop-ups in the Algarve, before working in Michelin kitchens of Vila Joya (two stars) and Bon Bon Restaurant (one star).

Following this, in the summer of 2015, Sean worked for two years at the legendary St John Restaurant and Bar, honing his culinary skills and style of cooking, before joining Bar Douro as Head Chef, serving up stunning Portuguese small plates from the arches of Flat Iron Square.
