With two decades of culinary experience, Manish Mehrotra brings his acclaimed cooking and considerable skill to the heart of Mayfair at Indian Accent.
As Corporate Chef for the Indian Accent group which has restaurants in New Delhi and New York as well as London, Manish divides his time between the three locations, developing seasonally changing menus executed to the highest standards.
His contemporary dishes pair seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients with authentic Indian spices and diverse ingredients from across the world, always with an accent of India.
Having started his career in Mumbai as part of Ananda Solomon’s team at the Thai Pavilion of the Taj Hotels, Manish joined Old World Hospitality in 2000 after demonstrating his instinctive skill and charm at Oriental Octopus. He spent time travelling to learn the art of pan-Asian cuisine before being appointed as Corporate Chef for Indian Accent in 2009.
Indian Accent has won numerous awards – the New Delhi restaurant has been featured in the world’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018. It has also been awarded the San Pellegrino 50 Best Restaurants in Asia Award for four consecutive years. The London restaurant was voted in the top 50 at 2018’s National Restaurant Awards and was one of just four nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2018 Harden’s London Restaurant Awards. Manish has also received a number of accolades including ‘Best Chef of the Year’ by American Express.
