Limor is the driving force behind the menu at Delamina, drawing on her eclectic heritage — she was born in Tel Aviv to a family of middle eastern and European origin — and inspired by her father, a passionate cook who exposed her to the myriad flavours, herbs and spices of the region.
Before launching Delamina, Limor was a trained artist, selling and exhibiting her works around the world. She was attracted to cooking by her interest in nutrition and belief that food should not only be tasty but also healthy.
Limor’s recipes are drawn from her home cooking, primarily grilling and roasting and using the herbs and spices of the eastern Mediterranean to celebrate the raw ingredients, including many vegetable dishes. Her self-taught and intuitive approach creates dishes that are wholesome, nutritious and with a unique flavour combination.
Initially only cooking for family and friends, Limor's first foray into the public was during a residency at Shoreditch House in 2015. Having witnessed the appeal of her dishes, within several months Limor and her husband Amir opened Delamina EAST in Shoreditch.
Last year Delamina Marylebone was opened, where Limor is able to showcase her informal cooking style across a wider variety of ingredients and dishes.
