Ana Gonçalves & Zijun Meng
Founders of TÓU

The duo came together through their love of using quality produce, powerful flavour combinations and technique. To this day, their philosophy remains true to that, under a light of new and classical influences.

Ana Gonçalves was a graphic designer from Portugal 'with the cooking bug' and Zijun Meng was a fine art student from China, whose trajectory was interrupted and eventually diverted when he came across Ferran Adria's “Food for Thought.

It all started in 2009 at The Loft Project by Nuno Mendes, then they worked together to open the Michelin-starred Viajante under Mendes, working with him for over five years, including time spent at the Corner Room and the famed Chiltern Firehouse.
