Tom Hunt is an acclaimed eco-chef, author and sustainable food expert. Tom’s main focus is to campaign for a fairer food system, working on projects to revive cooking heritage, reduce food waste, improve the environment and promote food equality. London based, he writes for magazines and newspapers such as The Guardian, Telegraph, Independent, Olive Magazine, Vegetarian Living and many others.
His Bristol restaurant Poco has won numerous awards from Best Ethical Restaurant with the Observer Food Monthly to Sustainable Restaurant of the Year at the Food Made Good Awards.
Early in his career, Tom worked with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as a cook and food stylist on the River Cottage TV series. Now he is an ambassador for charities such as The Fair Trade Foundation, Soil Association, Fare Share and Feedback; and works as a Sustainability Consultant for brands and restaurants including National Geographic, Sainsbury’s and AEG.
