Michelin starred Rohit Ghai has risen to become one of London’s most revered chefs of the highest culinary pedigree. Having honed his craft at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in India, Rohit began his international career working with Michelin-starred restaurant Benares in 2008, before moving on to lead several other Michelin starred kitchens, including multi award-winning Trishna, Gymkhana, Hoppers and most recently Jamavar and Bombay Bustle.
Rohit is the first Indian chef to have won a Michelin star for Jamavar within ten months of the restaurant’s opening, an achievement he is immensely proud of; no other Indian chef has reached this pinnacle in under a year. Continually striving for excellence, Rohit was invited by the Government of India, as one of an elite group of chefs who have made their country proud, to attend the World Food 2017 event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This year sees Rohit embark on several exciting new ventures; kicking off with the launch of his new venture, Kutir, in the autumn.
