Limor was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a family whose origins span from Russia to Iran. She was particularly inspired by her father who was a passionate cook and avid user of the many herbs and spices available to him in Israel.
Before launching Delamina and Strut & Cluck, Limor was a trained artist, selling and exhibiting her artworks around the world. She was drawn to cooking by her interest in nutrition and belief that food should not only be tasty but also healthy. Initially cooking for family and friends, Limor’s heritage, combined with a strong awareness of nutrition, resulted in recipes that celebrate food for its flavour and goodness.
Her first foray into the public was during a Thanksgiving residency at Shoreditch House, where she showcased her unique take on superfood turkey meat alongside vegetarian dishes. Following this, Limor and her husband Amir opened Strut & Cluck in Shoreditch. Limor’s recipes are inspired by her home cooking and Israeli background, grilling, roasting and using herbs and spices to celebrate the raw ingredients, including many vegetable dishes. Her self-taught and intuitive approach results in dishes that are wholesome, healthy and with a unique flavour combination.
In early 2018 Limor and Amir will open Delamina in Marylebone, where the informal cooking style of Strut & Cluck will be extended to a wider variety of ingredients celebrating the eclectic background of Limor’s dishes.
