Wingmans Co Founder, David Turofsky, has worked within the Hospitality Industry for 10 years with an initial focus on events, festivals and nightclubs. He has always had a passion for home cooking and as a lifelong foodie had early intentions to work within the F&B industry.
This developed further during his 4 years of study as a BA International Business student whilst spending a year abroad and living in California. During his travels post-graduation, he had become obsessed with a number of unique social dining and drink concepts he had experienced across the world, whilst working alongside and gaining first-hand experience from street food vendors in LA, Miami, Hong Kong, Shanghai & Malayasia. Upon his return to the UK during the London ‘pop up’ revolution, he decided to permanently pursue his passion of food & experience creation (…and love for chicken wings!)- the Wingmans concept was born.
Wingmans Master Chef and Co-Founder, Ben Ford, has over 15 years’ experience in London kitchens. With a passion for food at a young age it was inevitable Ben would end up finding his path within the hospitality industry. Inspired by a family of excellent cooks, there was always an element of taking pleasure out of creating something both tasty and memorable to share with others. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality seasonal produce he found himself landing his first Head Chef position at 23.
He has since worked within senior positions for the likes of River Island, British Airways &Compass Group. Ben was exposed to culinary competitions early in his career starting at college and being part of the winning team of the Nestle Toq D’or. He then went on to win London Chef of the Year and Chinese Master Chef with Andrew Wong of Awong. The highlight of his competition career was being asked to represent Team England at the Culinary Olympics & Culinary World Cup both on several occasions. With a passion for the UK Streetfood scene and a joint love of chicken wings Ben teamed up with David Turofsky and Wingmans was born. After three and a half years of feeding hungry people all over the UK & Europe and winning London Wingfest and the British Streetfood Awards they finally setup their first bricks and mortar site in North West London in June of this year
