Elemental fire-based cooking

Chris grew up in New Malden, and was first inspired by cooking with his mum using produce from his grandparents’ allotment – he attributes his love for food to this.

After several years working in London’s top restaurants and gastropubs, Chris finally achieved his dream of being offered a position by Jamie Oliver at Barbecoa. His love of barbecue and live-fire cooking made it too good a chance to miss!

In 2010, Chris joined the opening team – he was trained by Adam Perry-Lang and worked his way up to head chef in 2015, enjoying time with Jamie developing menus that showcased new cooking methods and skills.

To this day, leading a large team of chefs from all over the world inspires Chris to experiment and try out new processes – his menus have been nationally acclaimed.

Years of experience with meat, sourcing and butchery has enabled him to acquire world-class knowledge. Chris is proud to have worked with so many inspiring people over his career, who rank as some of London’s finest live-fire chefs.
